We also went to the mountains to visit my parents at their house or should I say went to the cabin in the mountains for some much needed fly fishing and outdoor time.... don't get me wrong plam trees are nice but can you can't beat the view my parents see everyday, the camera doesn't do it justice.

Pictures on our trip back home and Izzie was able to have her 1st airplane ride which she did really good on. She drove to a lot of different places and was such a good traveler. We got to see some places that Lehi visited as a kid. It was so fun to experince some of these places and have our kids have just as much fun as we did as kids.

When we went home during October we were able to make the long trip to Manitoba so that we could see Grama and so Izzie could meet the grama she was named after. Elizabeth was such a fitting name for her since two of her gramas are named Elizabeth. She had a good time playing a sharing game with grama and I think Grama loved seeing her run all over the place outside. We were especially greatful that we made the trip there because it wasn't soon after that that Lehi's Grama got ill and passed away at the age of 97. She will be so missed by all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids......what a wonderful time we had with her with memories that will last forever. We will miss ya Grama!!

Halloween at the pumpkin Patch, Izzie is still too little to go door to door but we had fun at the trunk'er treat that our ward put on. She was such a cute little ballerina I'm sure it will all make more sense to her next year!!

Had to post about our family fish that passed away......I always tell people that a fish is the best pet just because they don't last long (not pst 6 months in our experience) and they are pretty low maintenace. Well, he lasted for about 4yrs, he moved from Texas, to Idaho, to Utah for a brief time and then to Arizona which was his final resting place. Will miss ya little guy but I have to say it's been nice not having to clean his tank!!

Happy Birthday Izzie!!

We are so happy for you and your big mile stone, this last year has gone so fast and we have been through a lot. Many sleepless nights, tears, many moments of laughter (we love making her laugh), moments of frustration both she and I but most importanly many hugs and kisses and loves. Some of the things that we have recently been celebrating are that she sarted walking days before her B-day, she can give you hugs and kisses, clap, touch her toes, find her nose, touch her ears, eyes and mouth she can even fold her arms when its time to say prayers. She has three new teeth coming in (finally we have been in the teething stage it seems like forever). She can even tell you how old she is by putting up one finger if you ask, she can tell you what sound a lion makes (I grew up with brothers I'm sure a meow would have been more approprate for a girl but oh well it works) She can find all her toys if you ask....where's the zebra or the elephant or her turtle and pony, she talks jibber jabber on the phone (takes after her mom right grama p). She loves looking at books and getting into everything. right now its shoes.....i would be ok with it except that she likes to also put them into her mouth....told you we have been teething. But what ever she's doing or learning we are so blessed to have this sweet little gril in our life....we waited it seemed like forever for her to come to our family and it was well worth the wait. Happy 1st Birthday our little buddy, We Love you!!

Summer Time

I was just sitting here reminiscing of good old summer times back home, I'm sure we can all go back there as kids. Long summer nights when it stays light until 10-11pm and our parents were trying to convince us that it was bed time and tried to get us to sleep. The rule where you have to close everything during the day, windows, doors, blinds and then open everything up at night to cool the house down. Getting bored cause school was out and we had nothing to do but make up games such as frizbee tips, a game with weeds while weeding the garden, working out in the garage, or watching dad as he showed us how to clean something right "the first time". Fishing trips, and long car rides where "are we there yet" or "how much longer" started as soon as we pulled out of the driveway with a two day drive ahead of us. Drawing a line down the seats and telling your brother or sister that they can't cross it or your telling mom. If you were to drive next to us with your window down you could usually hear us shouting at the top of our lungs to good old "Neil" (Diamond that is).....ahh the good old days when we would eat freezies and drink slurpies, buble gum ice-cream and trying to get as much fun in, for the 2-3 months that we had. I sure do miss those times and can't wait to make new memories with all our kids to come. I wonder what songs we will play that they'll sing along with as we drive to visit family.......?

Do I have a real girly girl on my hands

We have been out in St George visiting Lehi's Dad and Bev, while we were there Iz found a few toys hidden in some little boxes and out of all the toys a "my little pony" was the toy of choice. I don't know how little boys know to play with toy cars and trucks and girls with ponies and dolls it must be a natural instinct. Needless to say somehow the pony made it was back home with us and she loves it!!!

First time I got her hair to stay with an elastic..... she looks so cute and all grown up!!

Ok I just had to blog about this, it might not be the most polite thing but it's got to be done. Iz has been eating solid food for awhile and has had what you'd say are really human poops....well today was the first time I literally gaged while I was changing her it stunk so bad. I kept on telling her that her poop was stinky and she just giggled the whole time I changed her.

We got Iz a new toy and she loves it but I think that she might have played with this empty box of diapers longer. Why spend money on toys when a plain old box can often be more fun!!

Mommy's Day!!

Thanks to a great Husband who got me flowers and my sweet little girl who gave me a home made card, with help from her dad of course that totally made me cry, it definatley made my first Mothers Day one to remember.

When Grama Carol came for a visit we took her to Sedona. I was so suprised that Arizona could look so beautiful, I think I could spend a lot of time there, and the temp is way cooler than in the Valley. We have been experinceing the heat way too early for me, over 100 degree and it's only May and I hear snow in Edmonton, there's two extremes for ya not sure which is best?? So what better way to beat the heat then the water park!! We took Iz for the 1st time and she did really good until one of the sprinklers came on and scared her then it was cries and wines for the rest of the time.
